Job summary

KEA Music Academy in Singapore is seeking dedicated piano teachers to provide meaningful instruction and contribute ideas while gaining teaching experience.

The role offers flexible hours with opportunities to transition into a fixed-rate or fixed-salaried position as enrollment grows. Teachers will prepare students for ABRSM exams, recitals, and competitions, while tracking progress and shaping the curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Music / Performance or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of piano techniques and music theory.
  • Experience teaching young beginners (3–6) and adults.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience.
  • Responsible, patient, and student-focused.
  • English-speaking (multilingual is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct piano lessons for students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Develop students’ musical understanding, technique, and confidence.
  • Prepare students for graded ABRSM exams, recitals, and competitions.
  • Monitor and track student progress.
  • Maintain a positive, passionate attitude towards teaching.
  • Contribute ideas for new programmes and curriculum.
  • Participate in discussions with the director and teaching team where needed.

Compensation & Earnings
