About the role
Polaris Music Academy is seeking passionate and responsible piano teachers to join our teaching team. We are a growing music school dedicated to providing high quality, engaging and personalised music education. We believe that lessons should build strong musical foundations while helping every student develop confidence, creativity and a genuine love for music.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct individual piano lessons for children, teenagers and adults
- Teach piano performance, music theory, sight reading, aural skills and musicianship
- Plan structured lessons according to each student's age, ability and learning goals
- Prepare students for graded examinations, performances and academy recitals where applicable
- Track students' progress and provide clear feedback to parents or adult students
- Maintain accurate attendance, lesson notes and student progress records
- Communicate professionally with students, parents and the academy's administrative team
- Participate in teacher training, meetings, recitals and academy events when required
- Maintain a safe, positive and encouraging learning environment
About you
- Minimum recognised Diploma in Piano Performance, Music Teaching, Music Education or a related discipline
- Minimum ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory or equivalent
- Strong piano technique, musicianship and sight reading ability
- Able to communicate effectively with both students and parents
- Patient, responsible, punctual and committed to students' long term development
- Comfortable teaching students of different ages and ability levels
- Able to work during weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Previous teaching experience is preferred
- Candidates without experience with strong teaching potential are welcome to apply
