Responsibility
- Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy and occupational therapy to individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and other complex conditions.
- Coordinate with other members of the multidisciplinary team regarding a patient's therapy.
- Under the supervision of therapists, liaise with patients, relatives, carers, equipment services, social and health care professionals, and other organizations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of physiotherapy and occupational therapy practices.
- Assist in identifying suitable equipment and adaptations needed in patients' homes.
- Measure, order, supply, and adapt mobility aids and equipment once trained.
- Adapt practices to accommodate individual patient circumstances, considering cultural, social, linguistic differences, as well as cognitive and physical disabilities.
- Complete records following professional and departmental standards.
- Work effectively with various therapy team members, demonstrating flexibility under different supervisors.
- Work within your scope of practice, knowing when to seek help from qualified therapists.
