Job description

Responsibility

1. Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy and occupational therapy to individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and other complex conditions.
2. Coordinate with other members of the multidisciplinary team regarding a patient's therapy.
3. Under the supervision of therapists, liaise with patients, relatives, carers, equipment services, social and health care professionals, and other organizations.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of physiotherapy and occupational therapy practices.
5. Assist in identifying suitable equipment and adaptations needed in patients' homes.
6. Measure, order, supply, and adapt mobility aids and equipment once trained.
7. Adapt practices to accommodate individual patient circumstances, considering cultural, social, linguistic differences, as well as cognitive and physical disabilities.
8. Complete records following professional and departmental standards.
9. Work effectively with various therapy team members, demonstrating flexibility under different supervisors.
10. Work within your scope of practice, knowing when to seek help from qualified therapists.
