Job summary

The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) invites a Physiotherapist to join our department. You will work with patients in acute and outpatient settings, including the cardiothoracic surgical intensive care unit, coronary care unit and cardiac rehabilitation.

On-the-job training will be provided to work with heart or lung transplant patients and those with heart failure on mechanical circulatory support devices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy recognised by AHPC.
• Interest or experience in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy would be an advantage.
• Documented proof of vaccination against measles and diphtheria/tetanus/Pertussis as required for healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients in both acute and outpatient settings including cardiothoracic ICU, CCU and cardiac rehabilitation.
• Receive on-the-job training to work with heart or lung transplant patients and those with heart failure on mechanical circulatory support devices.

Requirements

• Degree in Physiotherapy recognised by Singapore’s Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Interest or experience in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy would be an advantage
• Candidates with experience in other fields of physiotherapy will be considered
• Documented proof of:

(i) Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii) Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
