Job summary

A*STAR – Agency for Science, Technology and Research recruits a Keen Electronics/Photonics engineer to develop photonics heterogeneous III‑V integration modules in a fast-paced research environment in Singapore. You will drive multi-functional teams to optimize processes and pursue new integration solutions to meet product requirements and manufacturability.

Working in a cleanroom/fab, you will extract inline metrics, design experiments, and summarize complex problems for alignment with design,

Qualifications

Degree or Master in Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or equivalent.
Experience with semiconductor lasers/ photodetectors design, especially indium phosphide active devices is highly preferred.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize photonics heterogeneous III‑V integration modules.
Lead cross‑functional teams to improve process flows and investigate new integration solutions.
Conduct DOE evaluations to characterize design windows for new requirements.
Summarize complex problems and communicate actions with clarity to design, process, and fabrication teams.
Extract inline metrics and construct predictive models for device performance.
Coordinate wafer handling with multi‑functional teams to meet deadlines.
Work in research fab/cleanroom for experiments and data collection.
