Job description

Job Responsibilities:

· Champion PIC design and layout for customers and other internal projects.

· Design and develop novel active devices and passives for Si photonics with internal counterparts and external collaborators.

· Perform component and circuit-level simulations.

· Perform microfabrication in cleanrooms and the testing of devices on a need-be basis.

· Support CPO-related strategic projects on a need-be basis

Requirements:

· MSc or PhD (preferred) in Physics, Engineering with specialization in Si Photonics or Optics.

· Minimum 3 years working experience in the area of integrated photonics design with demonstrated track record in passive component and circuit simulation. Experience in design of active components (e.g. modulators) will be added advantage.

· Hands-on wafer fabrication experience in cleanroom.

· Experience in the handling of optical probe stations for optical testing of passives and active devices.

· Familiar with simulation and IC design layout tools (e.g. Lumerical, Zemax, KLayout).
