Photographer & Cinematographer (with Editing & Design Skills)

The Vision: At Novella, we don't hire photographers or editors; we hire story sculptors. We're looking for a Visual Creator who can conceptualize, shoot, edit, and imagine visual narratives that feel elegant, timeless, and emotionally charged. This is not a siloed role. You should know how to shoot like a director, move like a gimbal, edit like a filmmaker, and compose like a designer—all in one. A jack-of-all-trades, master of storytelling.

Role Overview: As a Visual Creator, you'll lead on-ground shoots and studio projects ranging from weddings to fashion to editorial. You will shoot photos and videos, operate gimbals, understand lighting and flashes, and edit in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Photoshop. You will also contribute to brainstorming visual ideas, styling shots, and shaping Novella's evolving creative direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shooting & Visual Execution: Lead photography and cinematography for weddings, campaigns, fashion shoots, and editorials. Use DSLR/Mirrorless setups with gimbals, flashes, tripods, sliders, and drones. Capture both posed and candid moments with narrative flow.
• Editing & Design: Edit video content (trailers, short films, reels) using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Retouch, color-correct, and layout images in Lightroom and Photoshop. Design cover frames, thumbnail art, mood references, and layout decks.
• Creative Ideation & Contribution: Collaborate on moodboards, storytelling arcs, and campaign themes. Suggest innovative shoot ideas inspired by fashion, film, and luxury aesthetics. Translate abstract client briefs into stunning, elevated, and modern visuals.

You're Right for This Role If You:

• Have 3-6 years of experience as a photographer, cinematographer, and post-production artist.
• Are proficient in Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve, and basic design layouts.
• Know how to shoot in varied lighting setups, including studio flash and low-light environments.
• Can handle gimbals and gear solo and enjoy working on-ground.
• Are obsessed with cinematic visuals, crisp edits, and storytelling through frames.
• Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced wedding or fashion shoot environments.

Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory, But a Strong Plus):

• Drone operation license or experience in drone shooting.
• Familiarity with green screen/chroma shoots.
• Basic animation or VFX skills in Adobe After Effects.
• Sound/music alignment experience in edits.
