  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of stocks.
Job description

Assist the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing, which includes typing, packing, labeling, and distribution of drug supplies to the wards and other hospital departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform cashier and billing duties.
  • Assist in providing quality customer service.
  • Receive and check stocks against the appropriate documents, to ensure that items supplied are correct and accounted for.
  • Arrange stocks in First Expiry First Out order.
  • Top up of cart-fill orders.
  • Assist in repackaging of unit dose, including operating machine and performing quality control.
  • Top up medications into Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of stocks in the areas of work.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy work areas and prepare work areas for daily operations.
  • Assist in processes related to home delivery of medications, which includes packing, labeling, and coordinating with the delivery courier company.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental, hospital, and external regulatory policies and practices related to pharmacy operations.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Mentor and train new pharmacy assistants.
  • Actively support hospital initiatives, including Community Outreach Programmes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
