MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
- Assist in the reception and patient registration in the pharmacy areas.
- Perform cashier and billing functions.
- Handle telephone and walk-in enquiries from patients and hospital staff.
- Assist in providing quality customer service.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the pharmacy work areas and prepare work areas for daily operations.
- Supports the hospital by participating actively in the various activities organized by the hospital. Activities include QC, community projects, staff welfare and recreational activities, etc.
- Other duties as directed by the supervisors.
(B) GENERAL
- Assist in processing of medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing and supplies.
- Receive, unpack and check stocks against the appropriate documents, to ensure that items supplies are correct and accounted for.
- Perform medication repackaging as part of pharmacy automation system in accordance with repackaging procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of stocks in the areas of work such as replenishing of stock in the pharmacy.
- Able to provide advice on the products kept in pharmacy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum a Diploma qualification (preferably in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent).
- Candidates with experience in an acute hospital setting may be considered for a senior role.
- Basic computer literacy
- Basic customer service skills
