Job summary

SAYBOLT (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician to perform sample analysis of petroleum and chemical products. The role requires handling laboratory equipment and preparing stock solutions and reagents.

You will standardize reagents and equipment as needed, review results, and retest when data is suspect, while keeping work areas clean and organized. The position demands 12-hour shifts, weekend and public holiday work.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent.
• 3+ years in petroleum testing preferred.
• Experience as a lab technician in a petroleum laboratory.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Good English communication and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample analysis of Petroleum and Chemical products.
• Handle Laboratory Equipment.
• Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents.
• Standardize reagent/equipment when necessary.
• Review results and retest when suspect.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, apparatus and equipment.
• Perform tasks as assigned by team leader or supervisor.
