Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and manage paper trades in petrochemical derivatives across various exchanges and OTC platforms.
Develop and implement trading strategies to capitalize on market movements and arbitrage opportunities.
Monitor and analyze market trends, price movements, supply/demand fundamentals, and geopolitical events impacting the petrochemical markets.
Collaborate with physical trading teams to manage risk exposure and support hedging activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, exchanges, and counterparties.
Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and market outlooks.
Ensure compliance with internal trading policies and external regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the development of trading systems, analytics tools, and dashboards for better decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in petrochemical, energy, or commodity derivatives trading.
Strong knowledge of financial instruments and trading platforms (e.g., ICE, CME, Eikon, Bloomberg).
Understanding of global petrochemical supply chains and product flows.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and risk assessment skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
