Job description

Personnel Officer, Manpower Branch, Specialist/Line Units

Location: Queensway

Mon to Thur 8:30 am to 6 pm; Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

12 Months Contract

Salary:Up to $3500

You will be primarily responsible for supporting Head Manpower in management of the
HR functions to support the Unit’s Regulars (Home Team Uniformed Services (HUS), and
the Civilian Schemes of Service).


You will be actively involved in studying and reviewing various HR initiatives, policies and
guidelines in areas such as Career Development, Talent Management, Performance
Management, Awards and Recognition, as well as personnel matters. Duties include but
not limited to the following:


1. Understand the rationale behind policy changes and adapt the
guidelines/initiatives to support the overall management and development of
officers.
2. To track officers’ attendance and completion of compulsory courses as they have
impact on officers’ deployment and career progression.
3. To identify and recommend appropriate training and development programmes for
officers’ career development.
4. To manage the Training Funds
5. To track and coordinate First Aid Course
6. To provide secretariat support for meetings and ranking sessions
7. Provide professional advice to officers on matters pertaining to Human Resource
matters
8. Assist in procurement matters such as procuring police service medals
9. Process Police Warrant Card/ ROAMs Card applications/destruction.
10.Oversee skill allowances, leave and warrant card issues
