Job summary

Homeground Gym & PT Bishan is seeking experienced personal trainers to join as freelance PTs at our Bishan location. You’ll run 1-hour sessions, conduct trials for prospective clients, and work with Head Coach Nic Koh to uphold high coaching standards.

You may earn via per-session remuneration and have opportunities to build a near full-time client base within the gym. Trainers should be experienced, mature, and responsible, caring about clients, communicating well, and earning trust.

Hi Personal Trainers!

I'm Jon, the owner of Homeground Gym & PT @ 239 Bishan St. 22. We're opening our new Bishan gym on 22 September 2026, and we're looking for more capable personal trainers to join our team.

This time, you'll also be working closely with our capable Head Coach, Nic Koh, who will be helping me build, guide and maintain the standards of our Bishan PT team.

At my Clementi branch, I've built a team of around 10 capable and responsible PTs. I hope to build the same kind of team in Bishan — trainers who are competent at what they do, genuinely care about their clients, and are good people to work alongside.

Despite this being a freelance PT role, most of my PTs receive enough clients from us that their monthly remuneration can eventually resemble a full-time income.

We do not restrict you from taking clients outside our gym.

At the same time, our goal is to provide good trainers with enough opportunities to eventually coach close to full-time with us, if that's what they want.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Be a competent, friendly and responsible personal trainer to our clients.
• Conduct high-quality 1-hour PT sessions.
• Conduct PT trials for prospective clients and help them understand how proper coaching can support their fitness and personal growth.
• Always put the client's well-being first.
• Constantly improve yourself as a personal trainer and learn together with our existing coaching team.
• Work closely with Head Coach Nic and the rest of the team to maintain a consistently high coaching standard.

Working Hours & Arrangements

• You generally only need to be present for your PT sessions, trials, meetings or training.
• Be early or punctual for every appointment.
• Our marketing team may occasionally involve you in filming or content creation to help build both the gym's branding and your own profile as a trainer.
• In the beginning, we may not immediately have a large pool of clients for every new trainer. We therefore need trainers who are willing to work with us to conduct high-quality trials and earn the trust of potential clients.
• Whether someone eventually signs up or not, always aim to provide value during the trial.
• At Clementi, I have a healthy track record of filling suitable PTs with around 10–20 clients within approximately 2 months, although this naturally depends on demand, availability and the trainer's performance.

Remuneration & Benefits

• $40/session for a client's first PT package.
• $50/session from the client's second package onwards.
• Start directly at $50/session if you bring your own client into our gym and the client purchases our PT package.
• Trial incentive of $50–$300 when a new client signs up for their first PT package.

I want trainers who aren't just good at training people, but are also solid human beings with good character.

You should care about your clients, communicate well, be dependable, and understand that building a strong PT clientele requires both coaching ability and trust.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of personal training experience.
