Job description

You will be responsible for managing the perfusion of cardiopulmonary bypass cases, operating and maintaining heart-lung machines, blood analysis equipment and other accessory equipment so as to ensure safe conduct of surgery by the cardiovascular surgeon. For the Senior Perfusionist post, you will also assist the Chief Perfusionist in supervising and training of Perfusionists to support the surgeons in cardiovascular operations. Candidates with relevant qualification and experience will be considered for Senior Perfusionist post.


Requirements:

  • Recognised Degree, preferably majoring in Biological Sciences
  • At least 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in managing perfusions involving congenital (infant / paediatric), ischemic heart and vascular diseases
  • Service-oriented, alert, observant and dexterous
  • Candidates without perfusion management experience may be considered if he/she has at least 2 to 3 years of other work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Documented proof of :
  • (i)Measles (or Mumps , Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity ; and
  • (ii)Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act with effect from 3 January 2022. Applicants without these vaccinations are welcome to apply if they undertake to complete the vaccination(s) before work commencement upon successful interview and are offered employment
