Job description

As a Performance Testing Specialist in this role, you will be responsible for various key activities related to performance testing. Your primary responsibilities will include requirements gathering, test planning, environment sanity, test execution, analysis & reporting, and optimization support.In the requirements gathering phase, you will be expected to identify and validate performance criteria such as response time, throughput, and concurrency. Moving on to test planning, you will develop the performance test strategy and scenarios, liaise with application teams, and discuss the test plan with all stakeholders. Additionally, you will prepare test data, user profiles, and conduct environment sanity checks as needed for Non-Functional Testing (NFT).During test execution, you will be conducting various types of tests including load, stress, endurance, and breakpoint tests. You will also monitor system metrics like CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network performance. Your role will involve analyzing bottlenecks, performance issues, and providing detailed reports with recommendations. Collaboration with development teams for performance tuning and re-testing after optimizations will also be part of your responsibilities.Your deliverables will include a Performance Test Plan, Test Scripts and Scenarios, Execution Logs and Metrics, and a Performance Test Report. Additionally, having experience or knowledge in Failure Modes and Effects Testing (FMET) will be considered a good-to-have capability in this role.For FMET, your duties will involve reviewing system architecture, identifying critical functions and dependencies, facilitating workshops with stakeholders to brainstorm failure modes scenarios, and using templates from previous projects. You will also be responsible for risk assessment, mitigation planning, documentation, and review related to FMET.The deliverables for FMET will include FMET Worksheets, Risk Assessment Summary, Mitigation Plan, and Final FMET Report. This position is contractual/temporary with a contract length of 6 months and offers benefits such as health insurance. The work schedule is day shift, Monday to Friday.
