Job description

Overview of the Job

We are currently looking for a Performance Manager, Social to join us. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end campaign management process to support GroupM agencies and clients. Working closely with internal teams and directly with clients, you will ensure seamless campaign plan development, execution, and delivery.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Head of Social.

Measures of success

In three months:

  • Become knowledgeable of the client’s business, ways of working, key client teams, internal teams, and the brand objectives for 2021.
  • Seamlessly run operations on biddable platforms like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and understand & implement the tracking and tagging processes on platforms like Google Campaign Manager, MOAT, DAR, etc.
  • Understand client’s processes & liaise with market planners to shape media plans on a monthly basis as per aligned strategies/direction.
  • Ensure timely reporting of campaign data to support effective decision-making.
  • Attend weekly/monthly calls with internal teams & clients, providing updates on live market plans, highlighting issues or best practices, and suggesting next steps.
  • Engage regularly with the Search team to learn and build cross-platform strategies.

In six months:

  • Establish effective ways of working with the planning team and become the go-to person for all biddable requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor live campaigns in markets and share industry best practices or suggestions to improve performance.
  • Connect with platform teams regularly to discuss campaign performance, learn about new features, and align test-and-learn plans for optimal results.
  • Build test and learn frameworks across platforms, ensuring significant tests and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share positive results and recommend new properties for scaling success.
  • Gain trust and confidence of all stakeholders, including global and local client teams and in-market teams.

In 12 months:

  • Guide planning teams on campaign outputs and present media recommendations to senior global clients for approval and feedback.
  • Exceed client KPIs across campaigns and contribute to business growth by proposing new ideas and services.

Responsibilities of the role:

Day-to-day business management: Manage all aspects of biddable business, campaign operations, analysis, issue escalation, and product recommendations.

Biddable Excellence: Deliver high-quality campaigns following best practices and frameworks.

Network Management: Develop relationships with multiple markets and cultures, and build strong relationships with agency and client teams globally.

Planning Input:

  • Understand client objectives and recommend appropriate biddable strategies.
  • Lead biddable operations for Japan, managing campaigns to meet KPIs.
  • Analyze competitors and industry trends to inform strategies.
  • Contribute to campaign strategies from a biddable perspective.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on campaign performance and recommendations.

Reporting: Provide timely reports for platforms like Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google, Twitter, and analytics tools to stakeholders for informed decision-making.

Team Development: Share updates on new products and successful campaigns to promote learning across markets.

What you will need:

  • 4-5 years of operational experience across biddable platforms.
  • Google Ads & Facebook Blueprint Certifications are a plus.
  • Experience managing high-volume campaigns across Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and tracking platforms like Google Campaign Manager, MOAT, DAR, Nielsen.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in digital marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to data and insights.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for liaising with international teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
