Job Title: Senior Music Performance Coach
Job Summary:
The appointee will oversee and manage the Senior School Rock and Popular (R/P) music program, coaching student bands, organizing performances, supporting music curriculum activities, and helping with general administrative tasks. This role requires a highly skilled musician with coaching experience, composition knowledge and a strong background in event organization.
The appointee reports to Head of Faculty – Arts through Assistant Head of Faculty (Music) and Music Specialist.
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm with school holidays leave entitlement. We are also open to a strong candidate that can commit 3-4 days per week.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma/Degree holder in Music with a focus on Performance and Composition
High level of performance proficiency in a performance discipline Strings/Woodwind/Brass/Vocals/Percussion/Keyboard)
Experience in arranging Music for Ensembles i.e. Orchestra, Choir, Jazz Band, Rock Groups
Advanced Sibelius Skills and a good knowledge of Logic Pro X and GarageBand software.
Experience in managing and maintaining band equipment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Office, OneNote, PowerPoint)
Ability to coach in other music areas (Choral, Jazz, Orchestra)
Possess songwriting experience
