Job summary

Schneider Electric Singapore Pte Ltd is hiring a Performance Business Finance Controller to lead accounting operations and drive strategic financial excellence across the cluster. You will contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and monthly performance analysis, partnering with plants and CoCe, and ensuring accurate reporting.

The role requires 5-7 years in finance, strong ERP/BI skills (SAP/Oracle, Tableau), and a track record of international collaboration and change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in operational efficiency and international contexts.
• Experience with corporate finance across multi-businesses and ERP platforms.
• Strong skills in ERP, BI tools and data-driven performance analysis.
• Experience with international business transformation and change projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and forecasting for cluster.
• Drive monthly performance analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure proper classification and reporting of orders and sales.
• Lead gross margin analysis and collaborate with plants/factories.
• Oversee month-end closing inputs and validation.
• Act as SPOC toward Business Finance CoCe and coordinate stakeholders.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement across the cluster.

Join our dynamic finance team as a Performance Business Finance Controller and be at the forefront of driving strategic financial excellence! We're looking for a passionate finance professional to lead our accounting operations and shape our financial future.

What will you do:

Contribute to Cluster strategic planning

• Support general guidelines definition and templates preparation
• Conduct financial simulation
• Support Cluster review and validation

Lead and contribute to Quarterly forecast process

• Support guidelines definition and templates preparation
• Support elaboration and simulation for country/Cluster financials
• Support review and validation

Drive monthly performance analysis and recommendations

• Ensure Orders and Sales are properly classified and reported
• Lead Gross Margin analysis and follow up with plants/factories
• Analyze monthly performance, leveraging standard reporting and analysis produced by Business Finance CoCe/Digital Factory
• Monitor Year to Go reasonability leveraging backlog data, identify and propose action plans.
• Work closely with various Business Finance team for market and pricing evolution
• Prepare for monthly business review
• Work with different stakeholders to deliver results

Support period-end closing

• Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly closing
• Review and validate monthly closing activities performed by Business Finance CoCe

Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) towards Business Finance CoCe

• Responsible for managing stakeholders' requests and follow-up towards Business Finance CoCe

Contribute to Global/Cluster standard alignment and continuous improvement of process

• Be Subject Matter Expert for selected topic across Cluster
• Ensure Global standard application within scope of activities
• Assess existing processes to simplify and standardise across Cluster
• Identify and initiate change request on behalf of Clusters, in coordination with Business Finance CoCe
• Support Global/Regional digital transformation initiatives
• Support Data compliance
• Direct and oversee comprehensive accounting operations including accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting

Specific Processes & Deliverables

• Strategic planning: Corp. guidelines
• Yearly campaign: Pre/Target, Performa campaigns
• Forecast: Baseline initialisation, Quarterly rolling forecast, follow-up
• Period end closing: Orders and Sales, Margin Analysis, Activity closing
• Reporting & Analysis: Financial reporting, Management reporting, ad-hoc reporting

What qualifications will make you successful?

• 5-7 years experience in finance and performance analysis roles
• Proven track record in contributing to operational efficiency and performance in an international context
• Experienced in financial management and performance systems in a Corporate with multi-businesses working with different ERP platforms
• Proven track record in international business transformation and change management projects
• Systems & tools expertise: ERP (SAP/Oracle knowledge), DFL, BFO, EPM, Tableau & other BI tools, Opus, Excel
