Job description

About Us

Lucence is a pioneering precision oncology company with a bold vision: a world where cancer is defeated through early detection and timely treatment. Our cutting-edge liquid biopsy tests use advanced molecular profiling to guide personalized cancer therapies, transforming how cancer is diagnosed and treated. At Lucence, we are shaping the future of precision medicine by capturing both genetic and cellular data from a single blood draw, bringing us closer to our mission of overcoming cancer.

We’re looking for a reliable and proactive People Operations Executive to anchor day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth, high-quality employee experiences across the entire lifecycle — from hiring to offboarding. You’ll work closely with the People team to complete a high-performing team that’s scaling Lucence’s mission to transform cancer detection and care.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in being organized, accurate, and people-oriented, and who thrives in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: job postings, screening, interviews, offers, and hiring admin.
    • Coordinate work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations.
    • Own and facilitate new hire onboarding, including welcome sessions, culture introduction, and first-week logistics (including IT setup)
  • Employee Lifecycle & Engagement
    • Be the go-to person for HR-related employee queries and guide them through policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Maintain and update employee records, HRIS, and databases with a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Conduct and track exit interviews, identifying trends and insights to improve retention.
  • Performance & Compensation Support
    • Support payroll preparation and processing — including audits, reports, tax reporting and compliance checks.
    • Assist in the administration of performance cycles and review processes.
  • Workplace & Operations Support
    • Oversee office and pantry management — ensuring a clean, stocked, and functional workspace.
    • Coordinate with IT vendors for device setup, troubleshooting, inventory tracking, and service delivery.
    • Manage procurement workflows: raise POs, track expenses, and liaise with Finance and vendors.
    • Support workplace safety, maintenance scheduling, and facilities coordination.
  • HR Projects & Compliance
    • Support HR audits, reporting, and compliance with employment regulations.
    • Participate in HR and cross-functional projects, including employee experience and engagement initiatives.
    • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for systems and workflows.
To be a good fit for this role, you would have:

  • A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Eager to learn and grow in a broad People Operations role that spans recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and office management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you’re approachable, clear, and enjoy helping others.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with good time management and follow-through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new tools or systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll platforms).
  • Discreet and professional — able to handle sensitive employee information with care.
  • A self-starter who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working collaboratively.
