A leading company in the logistics industry seeks a People & Admin Manager to enhance its HR landscape. This key role involves managing HR operations, driving recruitment, ensuring compliance with labor laws and policies, and shaping employee engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive HR experience, particularly in freight forwarding, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
As a People & Admin Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the Human Resources landscape. You will work closely with various stakeholders and your expertise will be crucial in driving recruitment initiatives, analysing employee engagement drivers, building relationships with managers, ensuring legal compliance in all labour contractual aspects, among other responsibilities.
This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage interpersonal relationships in the company and support all people-related matters at strategic and operational levels.
Responsible for the effective management of the full spectrum of HR operations, policy compliance and alignment
Responsible for driving HR initiatives surrounding policy, compliance, employee engagement, compensation, training and etc.
Work in partnership with key stakeholders to meet business and organisational objectives
Provide hands-on advice and be the People solution provider on full range of HR related matters, such as talent management, people data and reporting, employee relations, policy and compliance, compensation and etc
Implement and update people policies to ensure regulatory compliance and provide guidance on local employment legislations across the region
Drive recruitment initiatives and assist line managers and country heads with interview processes
Creation of offer/contract letters of employment and associated documents as well as onboarding and induction of new employees
Ensure the legal compliance of all labour contractual aspects with regards to multi-state and federal laws of employment, having also regard to work health and safety aspects and compliance
Assist and guide in the legal compliance issues concerning employment management, recruitment, performance management and end of employment
Manage and maintain employee related data and reporting
Collaborate with the Country and Global team to implement initiatives to improve and enhance employee experiences
Any other duties as assigned by the Management
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management/Studies or related field
Min. 10 years of related HR experience, including 2 years in a business partner role in the same capacity
HR experience in Freight Forwarding/Transportation/Logistics industry is desirable
In-depth knowledge of HR best practices in Singapore
Soild understanding of local labour laws and legislations
Change management competencies
Able to effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Great sense of responsibilities and commitment
Good people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong command of English and able to craft out effective messages or announcements as required
Persuasive communication skills to garner buy-ins from stakeholders and regional leaders
Active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Proficient in MS-Office applications
Proactive and resourceful team player with strong sense of urgency
Meticulous attention to detail
Able to work under minimum supervision
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly
