Job summary

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in Diagnostic Radiology to join the NeuroSCOPE project on neural signatures of cognitive outcomes in preterm evaluation. The RA will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and senior staff on brain imaging studies using MRI in pediatric cohorts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior exposure to human neuroimaging (MRI/fMRI) or developmental research preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participant Recruitment & Engagement: Identify and screen potential participants via developmental clinics and community outreach.
• Obtain informed consent/assent, explain procedures to parents and guardians, and maintain rapport.
• Coordinate scheduling of MRI appointments and follow-up assessments.
• Data Acquisition & Quality Assurance: Prepare participants for MRI, ensure safety and protocol adherence.
• Administer standardized behavioral and cognitive assessments per study manuals.
• Data Management & Entry: Enter data into secure databases and organize neuroimaging files.
• Image Processing & Preliminary Analysis: Assist with preprocessing and extract imaging-derived metrics.
• Regulatory & Administrative Support: Prepare ethics submissions and track training.
• Scientific Communication & Team Collaboration: Conduct literature reviews to support grants and manuscripts.
