Job summary

Middleton International School in Singapore is seeking a PE Teacher for a full-time maternity cover. The role is a fixed-term contract tentatively from November 2026 to August 2027, with Jan 2027 commencement possible.

You will develop lesson plans for primary and secondary PE, implement programmes, assess and report progress, prepare equipment, run after-school clubs, and participate in school events.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education/ Pre-School Teaching or its equivalent (preferred).
• Relevant qualifications in Physical Education or Sports Science (preferred).
• Can commence work by Jan 2027.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong motivational skills.
• Possess patience and extensive knowledge of physical fitness, sports and exercise.
• Minimum of one year or more teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• To develop and conduct effective lesson plans to teach physical education appropriate for the primary/secondary age group;
• To plan and implement appropriate PE programmes to support and enhance children’s understanding of health, physical exercise and safety;
• To assess, observe, record and report on student progress in their physical development (gross and fine motor skills and coordination), including writing student reports and attending parents meetings;
• To obtain and maintain appropriate sports equipment, in collaboration with the respective staff of the preschools;
• To conduct appropriate after school clubs as assigned;
• To participate in any school events as assigned.
