NLCS (Singapore) is looking for an enthusiastic, highly qualified and committed PE Assistant to start in August 2025, with an outstanding track record. Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist with administrative tasks in the PE & Health Department, as directed by the Head of PE
  • To assist with administrative tasks relating to sport, as directed by the Director of Sport.
  • To conduct equipment audits and to ensure all equipment is stored securely and appropriately.
  • To assist in lessons as directed by the Head of PE & Health
  • To be available to accompany School teams to fixtures both home and away in a range of sports. This may include after school, weekends and/or school holidays.
  • To establish discipline and good pupil management ensuring a suitable atmosphere in which pupils can work.
  • To support the PE & Health department in ensuring that each pupil reaches her potential.
  • To maintain a sympathetic professional attitude towards pupils and colleagues.
  • To enable all pupils to work at a level commensurate with their ability and potential appropriately.
  • To support and uphold the school’s pastoral systems and ethos.
  • To communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues by responding promptly to letters, emails and queries and by attending relevant meetings, and if required other events.
  • To support colleagues and the Head of PE & Health by offering ideas, sharing experience and assisting with general administrative or other reasonable tasks.
  • To assist in maintaining discipline, neat appearance, good behaviour, health and well-being of pupils on and off school premises by implementing school policies.
  • To support the school’s enrichment programme
  • To support major School events
  • To carry out all duties in accordance with the School’s Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation as appropriate.
  • To comply with the School’s operating policies and procedures as issued from time to time.
  • To carry out any other duties that might reasonably be required from time to time according to the needs of the school.
  • Escorting students to and from the medical centre or hospital when necessary.
  • To help with CCAs during the week when required either during school time or after
  • To assist with cover within the PEH Department
  • The ability to teach swimming - Swimming experience / coaching qualifications preferable
