Job summary

Aftershock PC in Singapore is seeking a PC Hardware Tester to join our production team. You will assemble, configure and test desktop PCs to ensure peak performance and reliability.

You will run benchmarking and stress tests on CPUs, GPUs, RAM, storage and peripherals, record results, and collaborate with the team to resolve any hardware issues before delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure desktops per specs.

• Ensure systems meet quality standards before delivery.

About the role

We are looking for a PC Hardware Tester to join our production team. If you enjoy working with PC components, troubleshooting hardware issues, and making sure every system performs at its best, this could be the role for you.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and configure desktop PCs according to company specifications.
• Perform quality checks and functional testing on completed systems.
• Test and verify PC components including CPUs, GPUs, RAM, storage, motherboards, cooling systems and power supplies.
• Conduct benchmarking, stress testing and performance validation on completed systems.
• Check component compatibility and identify potential hardware issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults during the testing process.
• Identify defective or faulty components and coordinate replacement when required.
• Record testing results and maintain accurate production and quality-control records.
• Ensure all systems meet company quality standards before being released for delivery.
• Work closely with the production team to resolve hardware and system-related issues.

About you

• Basic to good knowledge of PC hardware components and their functions.
• Understanding of PC assembly and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Passion for PCs, gaming hardware, custom PC building or new technology.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience assembling custom PCs (added advantage).
• Familiarity with benchmarking and stress-testing tools (added advantage).
• Experience troubleshooting hardware or compatibility issues (added advantage).
• Experience with Windows installation, BIOS configuration and driver setup (added advantage).
