Job description

Our client is looking for a Patient Service Specialist to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering excellent front-line service to patients, assisting with registration and appointment scheduling, managing billing and enquiries, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the patient journey with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and rescheduling via phone or in-person.
  • Verify patient information and ensure accurate data entry into the system.
  • Handle billing, payment collection, and issuance of invoices and receipts.
  • Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and reduce waiting times.
  • Assist with insurance claims processing and necessary administrative documentation.
  • Attend to general patient enquiries and provide clear information on clinic procedures and services.
  • Manage the front desk and waiting area to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Handle and escalate patient feedback or complaints when necessary.
  • Support ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor or clinic manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE O Level or Diploma in any discipline (Healthcare Administration/Business preferred).
  • Prior experience in customer service, front desk, or clinic operations is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinic management systems (e.g. GPConnect, Clinic Assist, or similar).
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Service-oriented with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays (depending on clinic/hospital setting).
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other local languages/dialects is a plus.
