A leading hospital is seeking a Patient Service Associate to deliver exceptional customer service in a welcoming atmosphere. The role involves handling patient admissions and discharges, managing stocks, and providing support to medical staff. Candidates should have at least GCE 'O' Levels and good communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a 2-year contract position with potential for extension or permanent conversion.
As a Patient Service Associate in our wards, you will deliver friendly and efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers / patients, with the key aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Handle admission, discharge and transferring of patients into wards, which includes creating and maintaining proper personal records of patients without compromising any data and safety breaches.
Making internal and external appointments for patients as per ordered by doctors.
Ensure ward’s operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.
Provide basic financial counselling to patient and next-of-kin when requested.
Manage stock inventory within the assigned ward.
Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare consultation documents.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum GCE “O” Levels qualification or equivalent.
Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office), handling multiple systems such as SAP will be an advantage.
Team player with good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage.
Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.
Working schedule: 5 days’ work week (Monday to Sunday, including Public Holidays) on rotating shifts. Earliest shift starts from 8am to 5:30pm, and latest shift starts from 12pm to 9:30pm.
This is a 2-year contract role, subjected to contract extension or permanent conversion with satisfactory work performance.
