Job summary

Stafflink Services Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant for a healthcare facility near Marymount MRT. The role supports the Registered Nurse, assists with daily patient care, meal services and hygiene, and helps with mobility and transport when needed.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience, good interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of responsibility for patient safety.

Qualifications

• GCE N Level or Certificate in Health Care Assistant or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience as a Patient Care Assistant.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep active measures to ensure the safety of patients under supervision of the Registered Nurse as required.
• Attend to patients' self-care needs including hygiene and feeding.
• Assist with mobility and transfers of patients.
• Assist as van escort helping patients to and from.
• Record patient vitals and monitor health signs as required.
• Maintain dietary support and assist feeding when needed.
• Ensure food pantry safety, stock checks and quality control.
• Uphold infection control standards and waste disposal practices.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and filing.

• 5 days work week (on call on weekends/PH)/ Near Marymount MRT / Transport provided at MRT

• Prior exp with Oncology / Palliative Care is advantageous!

Our client is a leading Healthcare provider

Responsibilities:

• Keep active measures to ensure the safety of patients under supervision of the Registered Nurse as required.

• Actively attend to the patients' self-care needs including elimination, nail and oral hygiene maintenance.

• Assist with mobility needs of patients as well as transfer and mobilise the patient as required.

• Assist as van escort helping patients to and from.

• Measure and record patient's weight, temperature and blood pressure as required.

• Look after the patient's dietary and feeding requirements, including taking meal order, serving meal and drinks, as well as assist with the feeding of patient if patient unable to do so.

• Be responsible for food pantry including the safe storing of food items, checking on stock level and ensuring the quality of food for safe consumption.

• Upholds standards in infection control by means of standard precautions, hand hygiene, proper waste disposal and isolation practices.

• Assist with administrative duties such as data entry and filing of documents etc.

• Assist with filing of documents.

• Report occurrences and patient observations to the Registered Nurse promptly.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation at all times.

• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion in matters involving patient care.

• Maintain a conducive and safe patient care environment.

• Undertake to keep oneself well informed of the updated industry guidelines and develop new skills that are necessary for the job.

• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse, or Day Care Manager.

Requirements:

• GCE N Level or Certificate in Health Care Assistant or equivalent

• At least 2 years of working experience as a Patient Care Assistant.

• Passion to serve.

• Processes strong sense of responsibility for safety, patient, considerate and courteous towards patients

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Other Information:

• Working Days/Hours: Mon to Fri (8am to 5pm)

• Location: Near Marymount MRT (Transport provided at MRT)

• Up to S$3K Basic+allowances+bonuses!
