Job summary

Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our team. You will contribute to exceptional pet care by performing grooming, feeding, and daily husbandry tasks while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for clients and animals.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong observation, excellent communication with colleagues and clients, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• Be able to handle animals firmly but gently.
• Empathise with both animals and clients.
• Ability to manage their time effectively.
• Clear and concise communication skills with both colleagues and clients.
• good awareness of health and safety within the workplace.
• Have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
• Confident working with different animals.
• Have excellent observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and grooming animals.
• Preparing food and feeding animals.
• Assist with moving animals from one place to another.
• Exercising dogs either in a yard or by taking them for walks.
• Check for signs of illness or distress in animals.
• Clean and upkeep animal accommodation (including changing bedding)
• Ensure animal enclosures are maintained.
• Keep relevant records and make bookings where applicable.
• Answer to questions and queries from visitors.

The Patient Care Assistants' scope of work includes:
