About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Head Chef to oversee the Pastry operations of our well-established bakery and cafe. As Pastry Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled chefs, creating innovative menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time position based in our East Region location.

What you'll be doing

· Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus that align with the company's brand and customer preferences

· Manage and mentor a team, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated and working efficiently

· Oversee pastries preparation, presentation and service to guarantee consistent quality and timely delivery

· Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations

· Manage inventory, ordering and budgeting for the pastry department

· Collaborate with the management team to identify new opportunities and continuously improve operations

What we're looking for

· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable cafe, restaurant or bakery

· Passion for baking and pastry

· Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills

· In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene and inventory management

· Creativity and a flair for developing innovative menu items

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
