We’re on the lookout for a talented and creative Pastry Chef to take charge of the pastry program at Bearded Bella —our flagship Melbourne-inspired café in Tanjong Pagar. If you're passionate about pastries, thrive in a hands-on role, and love bringing new ideas to life, we’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For:

You must possess:

  • Excellent organisation skills to manage pastry production and service prep independently
  • The ability to work solo in a fast-paced environment , managing time and output without supervision
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house and kitchen teams
  • A deep passion for baking and the drive to create crowd-pleasing pastries
  • Creativity and initiative to lead R&D of new menu items every 4–6 months
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability —this is a solo, management-level role
Your Role Includes:
  • Running the pastry section independently , including full responsibility for daily mise en place, production, and service
  • Planning and producing a wide range of pastries and cakes—both for dine-in service and counter display
  • Working a 5-day week, 45 hours total
  • Leading R&D for new pastry items in line with seasonal and brand direction
  • Managing costing, portion control, and stock levels
  • Liaising with suppliers to reduce costs , source better ingredients , and maintain consistency
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and efficiency in daily operations
