Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Baker to lead our baking team. As a Senior Baker, you will oversee the daily operations of the bakery, train and mentor junior staff, and ensure the consistent production of high-quality baked goods.

Job Description:

  • Prepare, bake and present pastry effectively and efficiently, meeting the company operations manual and gold standards.

  • Assist in the preparation, garnishing and presentation of pastry.

  • Responsible for stringent quality control procedures.

  • Maintaining a clean working environment at all times.

  • Ensure that procedures for suppliers, equipment, and work areas are in compliance to the established standards

  • Assist in keeping food wastage to minimum, through correct product measurement

  • Sharing knowledge, helping team members as and when required packing team must follow numbers on the packing sheets provided by head baker a day in advance.

  • Packers are expected to work both independently and as part of a team to assist the bakers with daily prep, but are not expected to handle dough or assist in bread production.

  • They should keep the kitchen equipment and production areas at a high standard of cleanliness.

  • Manage inventory and place orders for supplies.

  • Assist with cost control and budgetary planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Baker or a similar leadership role in a bakery.

  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Food safety certification.


Job Requirements:

  • Able to work as shift assigned

  • Able to work on weekends

  • Shift hours

  • At least 1 Year(s) of experience as pastry chef is preferred

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations

  • WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate preferred

  • Proactive, attention to details, dependable, team player and good communication skills
