Job summary

An established community-focused organization is seeking a dedicated individual to support their Life Group Ministry. In this role, you will assist in building a vibrant community, mentor leaders, and provide pastoral care. You will also coordinate Baptism and Membership services, ensuring smooth logistics for Sunday services. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Job description

Responsibilities

1. Life Group Ministry

  • Assist Life Group Pastor in building a vibrant community for the ministry.

  • Develop leadership skills and character of Community Leaders.

  • Mentor, coach and encourage Community Leaders.

  • Help Community leaders to identify and develop Group Leaders.

  • Facilitate the exchange of ideas between Community leaders and Group Leaders.

  • Conduct regular Huddles with Community leaders with respective Group leaders.

  • Visit and encourage Life Groups in his/her community.

  • Provide pastoral care and visits when there is hospitalization and bereavement in his/her community.

  • Participate in all church corporate and Life Group ministry events and meetings.

2. Baptism and Membership

  • Organise, coordinate and administer the Baptism and Membership Classes (inclusive of the Baptism and Membership Service) in consultation with the overseeing Pastor.

3. Other Duties

  • Perform assigned duties and oversee a well-coordinated Sunday Order of Service and smooth flow of logistics and technical support.

  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Pastor-in- Charge.

Requirements

  • Have at least two years prior experience in similar capacity

  • Pastoral heart of servanthood

  • Strong communication skills, team player

  • Good planner and organizer who is able to meet deadline.

  • Willing to work on weekends.

  • Theology certification is an added advantage.
