Partnership Agreements Manager

ANL is an expert container shipping company to and from Australia, New Zealand and Oceania. As a wholly owned subsidiary of CMA CGM, ANL offers its own services and serves the rest of the world in partnership with the Group. ANL has a branch network in South East Asia, China and Oceania and offers bespoke services through ANL Logistics and ANL Container Hire & Sales in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of ANL Lines, the Partnership Agreements Manager is the principal contact for line management, acting as direct support and adviser in all related partnership matters (allocation, responsibilities in case of service disruption, invoicing, etc.)


In addition, the incumbent will be leading the administrative and financial analysis, follow-up and application of agreements signed between ocean carriers.

Responsibilities

Contract Management
• Ensure good application of partnership agreements to anticipate any possible financial and operational consequences
• Perform constant contractual monitoring by checking the contracts consistency with the operational situation of the respective Lines
• Proactively advise the various Departments on the interpretation and enforcement of contracts to protect Line interests
• Follow the compliance of contracts with relation to operational matters and alert Line Management as required

Financial Analysis
• Ensure the monitoring of contract financial status (invoicing, litigation, collection, partners’ disbursement, cash flow forecasts)
• Responsible for settlement discussions with other ocean carriers and escalation in case of dispute

Reporting & Performance monitoring
• Control allocations (overcharging, space imbalance) and produce reporting on partnership management.
• Produce statistics studies related to contracts.
• Analyze data and implement management tools to follow up the activity

Occupational Health and Safety
All employees and contractors are responsible for complying with relevant OH&S legislation and policies, in particular:

• Taking care of themselves and others
• Cooperating with ANL instructions including Safe Work Method Statements, Safety and other Procedures and Training
• Reporting all hazardous situations

Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience in the shipping industry, ideally with deep knowledge and understanding of ocean carrier agreements and relevant maritime, contractual and commercial regulations
• Masters / Bachelors qualifications in logistics, international trade, international business or similar
• Extensive experience in operations / trade role in the shipping industry
• High level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and project management
• Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills and a high level of numeracy skills
• Ability to communicate with many different stakeholders & negotiate
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ability to foster and grow both personal and business relationships across a diverse range of Nationalities and Cultures
• Ability to influence, negotiate and broker highly complex issues in a range of forums
