About the Role:

To ensure the smooth running of the laboratories and stock rooms so as to support teaching and learning in the classroom.

A Science Laboratory Technician's job offers challenge and initiative and carries some responsibility. The Stamford Science Laboratory Technician will be chiefly responsible for the laboratories in the Middle School Science facility. This will involve preparing apparatus and related teaching equipment and materials for lessons, clearing up after lessons, managing and maintaining good order in the prep rooms, overseeing equipment and maintaining stock levels of disposable materials.

Position Requirements:

• Self-motivated with an eye for detail.
• Shared commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have a friendly demeanour and endearing nature, with a professional presentation.
• Proven ability to maintain confidential information and discretion.
• Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable but not limited.
• Ability to work with children of different age groups
