Job description
We’re Hiring: Holiday Camp Leaders & Camp Assistants (Singapore)

JF Smart Learning runs hands-on STEM/STEAM holiday camps in international schools across Singapore. This season we’re delivering two crowd-favorites—Dino Park and Bio Detectives—and we’re expanding our team.

We’re looking for patient, collaborative people who can work independently, take responsibility, and bring steady, kid-friendly energy every day.

1) Camp Leader (Science Background Required)

You’ll lead a group (ages 6–8 or 9–12) through ready-made science lessons and builds, run daily safety briefings, coach your Camp Assistant, and keep parents/school partners in the loop.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver our Dino Park and Bio Detectives sessions (full lesson plans, slides & kits provided).
  • Set up/pack down stations; manage timing, safety, and smooth transitions.
  • Model experiments, guide investigations, and differentiate for mixed abilities.
  • Complete quick daily checks (attendance, first-aid log, behavior notes).
  • Liaise professionally with venue coordinators and parents at pick-up.

What you bring

  • Background in a science field or science education.
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or leading youth programs.
  • Calm classroom presence; clear communication; reliable professionalism.
  • Bonus: First-Aid/CPR, MOE vendor pass/clearances, safeguarding training.
2) Camp Assistant (No Science Degree Required)

You’ll support hands-on stations, group management, and logistics so activities run safely and on time.

What you’ll do

  • Prep materials, reset stations, and help children follow step-by-step tasks.
  • Encourage shy learners; keep groups on task; celebrate small wins.
  • Assist with attendance, snack/water breaks, and clean-up.
  • Flag safety issues early; uphold camp routines and behavior norms.

What you bring

  • Genuine patience with children and a team-first mindset.
  • Strong initiative and time-management; you notice what needs doing next.
  • Any experience with camps, CCA/CCA-style activities, or childcare is a plus.
  • Bonus: First-Aid/CPR, safeguarding training.
Camps & Commitment
  • Venues: International schools across Singapore.
  • Dates/Times: Holiday Camps – See the attached camp flyer for exact dates (school holiday blocks). Typical day 8:00am–4:30pm, Mon–Fri.
  • Ages: 6–8 and 9–12 groups.
  • Training: Pre-camp training; full lesson plans, risk assessments, and kit lists provided.
  • Safeguarding: Reference checks required. You must follow our child-protection and safety policies at all times.
What You’ll Teach (at a glance)

Dino Park
Junior paleontology with real inquiry: fossil casting, strata & timelines, “raptor claw” biomechanics, habitat builds, and a final museum-style showcase.

Bio Detectives
CSI-style biology: microscope skills, prints & fibers, DNA-style models, food-web forensics, mini-labs on microbes & hygiene, and a capstone “case file” presentation.

Why Join JF Smart Learning?
  • Ready-to-teach programs grounded in cognitive science (clear modeling → guided practice → joyful independence).
  • Great kit & logistics—you focus on kids and learning.
  • Supportive culture—fast comms, on-site help, and tidy paperwork.
