Responsibilities

• Conduct counselling sessions for students who have appointments or drop-ins and provide consistent quality service with follow-up.
• Facilitate monthly meetings with HOD Student Development and provide timely updates on counselees.
• Prepare documents and update HOD on progress of AT-RISK/HIGH RISK cases; report when cases are closed on a monthly basis.
• Participate in Case Management Team meetings and carry out follow-up actions as discussed.
• Monitor and manage the online counselling booking portal; basic training will be provided.

• Conduct counselling sessions for students who have made appointments as well as drop-in cases; able to provide and sustain consistent quality service with close monitoring and professional follow-up of cases
• Facilitate meetings with HOD Student Development and to provide timely updated information on student counselees to HOD Student Development (monthly)
• To prepare the relevant documents, and meet HOD Student Development to update him on the progress of AT-RISK/HIGH RISK cases as well as whenever a case is deemed ‘closed’ (monthly)
• To prepare for and participate in Case Management Team meetings, and take the necessary follow-up actions as discussed
• To regularly monitor and manage the online booking portal for counselling cases (basic training will be provided by the school)
• To collaborate with the relevant stakeholders and assist in crisis management, should the situation arise (throughout the duration of the Contract)
• Applicants should follow school’s SOP with regard to consultation with and feedback to relevant school personnel on students counselled, dealing with parents, maintenance of counselling records and handover of cases at the end of the contract to ensure continuity of support for the students.
• Applicants should also respect that the counselling records of students are the property of the school and that the records would not be taken out of school at any time without permission by school.
• The successful candidate will have to sign an undertaking to safeguard official information.
• The counsellor must abide by the “Ethical Standards for School Counsellors in Singapore”.
