BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD in Singapore invites a trained counsellor to join for an 11‑month contract in 2027, delivering counselling to students with booked appointments and walk-ins. You will monitor cases, provide updates to the HOD Student Development, and handle crisis management when needed.

Qualifications include a counselling degree, SAC registration, ongoing supervision, and at least one year of MOE secondary school/Jr college counselling experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct counselling sessions for students with appointments and drop-ins, ensuring quality service with follow-up.
• Facilitate meetings with the HOD Student Development and provide monthly updates.
• Prepare documents and report progress on AT-RISK/HIGH RISK cases to the HOD Student Development.
• Participate in Case Management Team meetings and follow up on actions.
• Monitor and manage the online booking portal for counselling cases with initial school training.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and assist in crisis management throughout the contract.

Job description

Contract Period: 11 months, January to November 2027 (estimated start 11 January 2027, estimated end 26 November 2027)

Working Hours: 24 hours per week, excluding lunch

• One full day: Wednesday, 8:00am to 5:30pm (9 hours of work plus a 30-minute lunch break)
• Three afternoons: Monday, Thursday and Friday, 12:00pm to 5:00pm (5 hours of work)
• Pay is based on actual hours worked

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct counselling sessions for students who have made appointments as well as drop-in cases; provide and sustain consistent quality service with close monitoring and professional follow-up of cases
• Facilitate meetings with the HOD Student Development and give timely updates on student counselees (monthly)
• Prepare the relevant documents and meet the HOD Student Development to update him on the progress of AT-RISK/HIGH RISK cases, and whenever a case is deemed "closed" (monthly)
• Prepare for and take part in Case Management Team meetings, and follow up on the actions discussed
• Regularly monitor and manage the online booking portal for counselling cases (the school provides basic training)
• Work with the relevant stakeholders and assist in crisis management, should the situation arise (throughout the contract)

The successful candidate will follow the school's SOP on:

• consulting with and giving feedback to relevant school personnel on students counselled
• dealing with parents
• keeping counselling records
• handing over cases at the end of the contract, so that students continue to be supported

Job Requirements

The candidate must be a trained counsellor with the following qualifications and skills:

• At least a Degree in counselling
• Registered with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC)
• Case supervision, and currently receiving ongoing supervision from a trained clinical supervisor
• At least 1 year of relevant counselling experience in an MOE Secondary School and/or Junior College
