Job description

Workload : Approximately 10 hours per week
Work Arrangement : Flexible hours with the option to work from home
Reports To : Manager or Designated Officer
Compensation : Commensurate with experience and scope


Role Purpose

To provide flexible support for RAS initiatives, focusing on fundraising and digital engagement efforts aligned with ongoing campaigns such as the Loo Awards and public education programmes.

Scope of Work

1. Donor Engagement and Fundraising Support

  • Assist in outreach efforts to solicit donations from individuals, corporate partners, and supporters.
  • Help prepare communication materials, such as emails, letters, and simple presentation decks, for donor engagement.
  • Maintain records of potential and confirmed donors, and support donor acknowledgement processes.
  • Contribute to creative ideas for donor engagement and recognition.

2. Social Media and Public Communications

  • Draft, schedule, and post engaging content across RAS’s social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Aim to publish at least two posts per theme, including but not limited to:
    • Highlights of past award recipients
    • Promotion of current submissions or campaigns
    • News or stories related to toilet culture and public hygiene in Singapore
  • Respond to comments and messages as needed, and track engagement performance.
  • Work with the team to align messaging and tone with RAS’s mission.

Expected Outputs

  • Regular, well-timed social media content that raises awareness and supports outreach objectives.
  • Consistent updates on fundraising progress and donor touchpoints.
  • Brief monthly summaries highlighting work done and recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Comfortable using social media platforms and basic digital tools (e.g., Canva, Google Docs, Meta tools).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time independently.
  • Interest in public health, community service, or nonprofit causes is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in outreach, marketing, or events is helpful but not required.
