Job description

Working Hours:

  • 3 days / week
  • 0800hrs to 1700hrs

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and proofread a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, Power of Attorney (POA), correspondence, forms, and corporate reports such as annual and sustainability documents.
  • Review, advise on, draft and front negotiations (if necessary) on commercial agreements, including but not limited to tender documents, service agreements and other business contracts.
  • Coordinate with heads of business units, sales/project managers, engineers, and external legal consultants regarding contract details.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and claims management, including preparing supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with external legal firms and internal team members to facilitate smooth case management and ensure all legal matters are handled efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations and other corporate formalities. Support the company in adhering to corporate governance policies and best practices.
  • Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including but not limited to contracts, corporate structuring, compliance, banking and finance, construction, employment, and dispute resolution. Highlight potential risks and commercial consideration.
  • Maintain, organize, and manage contract records and legal documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in industry laws and regulations to ensure company adherence.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Legal Executive Studies or Degree in Law or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paralegal, with a strong corporate background in the construction and engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
