Part-Time Lecturer for DD4005 Interdisciplinary Seminar for Media Art

The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply for a Part-Time Lecturer position for DD4005 Interdisciplinary Seminar for Media Art. The lecturer will teach an undergraduate core course starting in August 2025.

DD4005 Interdisciplinary Seminar for Media Art is a professional development course designed to prepare students for careers in the media industry. Students will learn from industry professionals on topics such as copyright, intellectual property, law, accounting, career planning, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and employability. The course includes discussions and projects to enhance students' readiness for professional life after graduation.

Applicants should demonstrate expertise in managing the audio component of students' digital filmmaking projects, covering all stages from concept, screenwriting, production, post-production, to final sound mixing. A passion for guiding students in exploring audio possibilities for film, including scripted, serialized, non-scripted, and short-format videos, is essential.

Candidates should possess a relevant Master’s and/or PhD in audio or related fields, with a proven record of creative practice in film production. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production or related fields, combined with industry experience, may also be considered.
