The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented specialist with a strong background in book promotion, distribution, and publishing. You will develop and execute strategic marketing and PR plans to enhance brand awareness, drive sales, and build relationships within the publishing ecosystem. This role requires strategic thinking, meticulous planning, and hands-on tactical execution, working closely with our XG marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement innovative brand marketing and public relations strategies specifically for book promotion and publishing initiatives.
2. Plan and execute tactical marketing and PR activities, including media outreach, content creation, social media engagement, and promotional campaigns.
3. Collaborate effectively with the XG marketing team to ensure alignment and impact.
4. Leverage your understanding of the publishing industry to identify key opportunities for promotion and distribution.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, publishing firms, editors, PR and media houses.
6. Think creatively to generate impactful marketing and PR campaigns.
7. Drive tactical execution of planned activities.
8. Contribute to strategic planning and goal setting for book projects.
9. Demonstrate potential to lead and build teams as the role evolves.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 4-8 years in book promotion, distribution, and publishing.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the publishing landscape, distribution channels, trends, and key players.
• Network: Existing contacts with publishing firms, editors, and media houses are preferred.
• Author & Publishing Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with authors and internal teams.
• Strategic & Tactical Skills: Ability to develop plans and execute them effectively.
