Job summary

A local catering company in Singapore is seeking an Indian Cuisine Cook specialized in Parotta and Dosa. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in making Parotta and 2 years in South Indian dishes. The role requires working split shifts and includes responsibilities such as preparing a variety of Indian dishes and assisting the head chef as needed. Job description

Position: Indian Cuisine Cook (Parotta/Dosa/South Indian Specialties)
Location: Harsi Indian Food, 936 East Coast Road, Singapore 459129 (Food stall number 3 )
Salary: SGD 3,500 – 4,500 (Based on Experience)
Working Hours:

  • Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Evening Shift: 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 12-hour split shift (includes break)
  • Weekly off: Tuesday or Thursday (only)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all varieties of Parotta and Dosa (Indian style)
  • Cook Mee Goreng, South Indian, and North Indian dishes as required
  • Take charge of South/North Indian section during other cook's weekly off
  • Assist the head chef during non-peak hours
  • Handle sales and customer orders during non-peak hours if needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Indian-style Parotta making
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in preparing South Indian dishes
  • Proficiency in Mee Goreng and other Indian dishes is a plus
  • Must be willing to work split shifts and weekends
  • Team player with the ability to handle kitchen responsibilities independently when needed
Additional Information:
  • Food Safety Certification is mandatory (Refresher course will be sponsored for valid certificate holders)
  • Performance Bonus applicable after completing 1 year of service
