Aramco Asia is a group of Asian wholly owned subsidiaries of Saudi Aramco Asia Company, and they share a key mission in serving Saudi Aramco’s corporate strategic initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. We are in the search for a Paralegal to join our team in the Singapore office.
Assists the Singapore Legal team and other Counsels as follows:
- Reviews, organizes and tracks incoming legal services requests and their allocation to members of legal team, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel;
- Tracks board and other appointments for Aramco Asia Singapore and its entities, joint ventures and other affiliates, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel;
- Provides limited direct support to clients with respect to incoming requests for legal services, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel;
- Tracks process of preparing, conducting and documenting annual meetings for Aramco Asia Singapore entities, joint ventures and other affiliates, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel;
- Reviews preliminary drafts of standard documents and revises as necessary;
- Reviews standard documents and drafts revisions;
- Conducts factual and legal research;
- Prepares limited substantive legal advice for clients, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel;
- Consolidates documents and generates reports, including subsidiary status report for Law Management in Singapore and its other entities;
- Provides support in organizing, maintaining, and managing files in document management systems;
- Assists in managing documents requiring approvals, renewals, execution, and filing, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel;
- Cross-checks documents for consistency of terminology and defined terms;
- Manages contracting needs of the Law Department, under supervision of Singapore Legal Counsel; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- University Bachelor's degree;
- Formal paralegal accreditation/certification regarded as premium;
- Experience with function, scope and duties described above;
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT tools;
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Awareness of key legal terminology, methodologies, and practices; and
- Written and spoken proficiency in English.
This is a one year contract position, subject to extension depending on business needs.
