Job summary

HP Ink Supplies Operations is seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer in Singapore to design, qualify, and deploy complete packaging solutions across multiple product lines. You will lead cost-reduction initiatives and drive design optimization with a focus on sustainable packaging solutions.

You will collaborate with Business Units, R&D, manufacturing, QA, Marketing, Procurement, suppliers, and NPI program teams, delivering high-quality packaging solutions that meet performance and regulatory

Qualifications

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of work experience in engineering design, manufacturing, or related field.
• Working knowledge of packaging materials, structures, and manufacturing processes.
• Preferred experience with packaging testing, qualification, and supplier engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Execute packaging validation, testing, and qualification activities.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining engineering efforts.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and product teams.
• Optimize concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments to improve efficiency and quality.
• Deliver designs and other program deliverables on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Drive cost, material, and process optimization initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
• Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
