Job summary

Apar Technologies Private Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced OutSystems Developer to join our agile team. You will build and enhance responsive web and mobile apps, translating business requirements into reusable components and robust data models.

You will implement REST and SOAP integrations, optimise SQL queries, participate in code reviews, and contribute to quality, security and performance. A 2–4 year track record with OutSystems, Service Studio and Agile practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance responsive web and mobile applications using OutSystems.
• Translate business requirements, user stories and process flows into application components.
• Develop user interfaces, business logic, data models, validations and role-based access controls.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and support SOAP integrations where required.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and data access logic.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT activities.
• Troubleshoot application issues and resolve defects within agreed timelines.
• Participate in code reviews and address application quality, security and performance findings.
• Support application deployments, environment promotions and post-release validation.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to Agile activities such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, demonstrations and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience with hands‑on OutSystems development.
• Experience using OutSystems Service Studio across application development, data, logic, integrations and security.
• Experience developing Reactive Web applications. Exposure to Mobile or Traditional Web applications is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including relationships, indexes, transactions and query optimisation.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication and error handling.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Java for UI customisation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git or equivalent version‑control tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer, Associate Developer ODC or equivalent certification.
• Experience with OutSystems LifeTime, Service Center, AI Mentor Studio or Forge components.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and related Microsoft technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, secure coding or IAM/SSO integration.
• Experience supporting applications in public sector, healthcare or financial services environments is an advantage.
