Job description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Sales Engineer to join our team. In this hunting and business development-focused role, you will be responsible for expanding sales within existing customer accounts, identifying and acquiring new customers, and driving the overall revenue growth of the company. Your contributions will be integral in collecting market intelligence, understanding customer needs, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless sales processes and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Prospecting: Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities, focusing on acquiring new customers while strengthening relationships with existing ones.

  2. Customer Growth: Drive sales within current customer accounts by identifying additional needs and providing customized solutions.

  3. Market Analysis: Collect and analyze market data, including competitor activity and industry trends, to guide sales strategies and maximize business opportunities.

  4. Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, contributing directly to the company's overall revenue goals.

  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with teams across product management, engineering, and customer service to ensure timely and efficient delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations.

  6. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, fostering loyalty and repeat business. Promptly address customer inquiries and resolve any issues.

  7. Sales Operations: Manage daily sales activities, including following up on quotations and sample submissions, as well as engaging in price negotiations.

  8. Market Insights Contribution: Actively participate in monthly sales meetings, providing management with valuable market insights and trends.

  9. Additional Responsibilities: Take on other tasks as assigned by the company, adapting to evolving business needs.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

  2. At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar industry.

  3. Proven track record in a sales engineer or business development role, with a focus on hunting and acquiring new customers.

  4. Strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate a broad range of products and services offered by the company.

  5. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  6. Ability to assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.

  7. Highly self-motivated, with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.

  8. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.

  9. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  11. A valid Class 3 driving license with a clean driving record, and the ability to travel to client locations and attend meetings as necessary.
