Job description

Join us in the role of Oracle DBA Admin - Analyst in Singapore. The Specialized Infrastructure DBA team is responsible for supporting and architecting highly performant Oracle database architectures used by regulatory applications. In this role, you will support key application stakeholders from Rates and Equities, managing their databases. Daily tasks include analyzing, solving, and resolving issues in real-time, providing suggestions for improvements, automating monitoring and other jobs with an SRE mindset, evaluating new database features, performance tuning, and planning for future growth. Frequent patching of Oracle RDBMS and Grid Infrastructure is expected, often on weekends. The role demands high availability support, especially during major releases and data center recovery events throughout the year, requiring prompt and immediate support.

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Tenacity and experience working in a 24/7 support environment for critical production systems.
  • Experience collaborating with vendor technical support, including development teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for finance and technology.
  • Stakeholder management skills, capable of communicating at senior levels and managing expectations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Flexibility with working hours to accommodate meetings with EMEA and US regions and tasks outside business hours.

  • Oracle RDBMS knowledge (12c / 19c)

  • Linux basic skills and OS problem investigation
  • Scripting and automation skills, with knowledge of Chef and Git
  • Experience investigating database performance issues, including SQL performance tuning

The role may involve assessments on key skills such as risk management, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology, alongside technical expertise.
