Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our client’s IT team.

You will ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Oracle database environments that support enterprise and manufacturing systems. You will administer, monitor, and optimize databases; handle incidents and on-call rotations; install, upgrade, patch; support deployments and schema changes; perform backups, DR testing, and root cause analysis; and maintain

Qualifications

Experience administering Oracle databases in production.
Strong SQL & PL/SQL skills.
Understanding Oracle architecture, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage priorities and respond to business-critical incidents.

Responsibilities

Administer, monitor, and optimize Oracle database environments.
Investigate and resolve database incidents, alerts, and performance issues.
Provide Level 2 operational support, including participation in 24/7 on-call rotations.
Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases.
Support application deployments, database releases, and schema changes.
Plan and execute database changes in line with change management processes.
Perform backup, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery testing activities.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability.
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
