Job summary

Exasoft Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to safeguard and optimize mission-critical Oracle databases in Singapore.

You will manage patching, vulnerability remediation, RAC/Data Guard/ASM configurations, and continuous health checks to ensure high availability and performance. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience, expertise with Oracle 19c/21c, BigFix, and security patching, and a solid understanding of ITIL change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Hands-on with Oracle 19c/21c, RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
• Experience applying Oracle CPUs, RU, and security patches.
• BigFix administration, Fixlet development, testing, and deployment.
• Knowledge of Oracle security hardening, vulnerability management and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL Change, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
• Knowledge of Linux (RHEL), shell scripting, and automation tools.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and production DB environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform Oracle database vulnerability assessments, CVE analysis, and security remediation.
• Plan and execute Oracle database patching, including CPUs, RUs, RURs, and one-off patches.
• Develop, test, and maintain BigFix Fixlets for automated database patch deployment.
• Administer Oracle databases, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN backup/recovery.
• Conduct pre-patch and post-patch validation, health checks, and performance monitoring.
• Support database upgrades, migration, cloning, and disaster recovery activities.
• Prepare patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, SLA, and audit reports.
• Coordinate patch deployments through SIT, UAT, DR, and Production environments, following change management procedures.
