Job summary

Beyondsoft Consulting (Singapore) Pte. Ltd is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to ensure database health, performance, and resilience in a cloud-enabled environment.

The role focuses on tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability configurations while coordinating with application and cloud teams. Candidates should have 3+ years of Oracle DBA experience, a degree or diploma in IT, and Oracle certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong Oracle database administration and performance tuning experience.
• Experience with managed Oracle database services in a cloud environment.
• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Oracle certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess database health, configuration, capacity and performance.
• Perform SQL and database tuning, indexing review and execution plan analysis.
• Support backup, recovery, patching, maintenance and resilience activities.
• Investigate database related incidents, locking, latency, storage and connectivity issues.
• Advise on scaling, parameter configuration, monitoring and operational best practices.
• Support change implementation, testing, rollback planning and post change validation.
• Document findings, recommendations, actions and residual risks.
• Coordinate with application, data and cloud infrastructure teams while protecting service availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Hours: As needed

• Assess database health, configuration, capacity and performance.
• Perform SQL and database tuning, indexing review and execution plan analysis.
• Support backup, recovery, patching, maintenance and resilience activities.
• Investigate database related incidents, locking, latency, storage and connectivity issues.
• Advise on scaling, parameter configuration, monitoring and operational best practices.
• Support change implementation, testing, rollback planning and post change validation.
• Document findings, recommendations, actions and residual risks.
• Coordinate with application, data and cloud infrastructure teams while protecting service availability.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong Oracle database administration and performance tuning experience.
• Experience with managed Oracle database services in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery, high availability, security and monitoring.
• Ability to diagnose complex database and application interaction issues.
• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Oracle professional certification is preferred.
• Typically 3 years or more of Oracle DBA experience.
